This Privacy Policy applies to the CodeBlink application for mobile devices, created by Shashank Verma. The Application is provided as a free service and is intended for use "AS IS".

By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

The Application may collect the following types of information to enable real‑time collaboration and improve your experience:

• Personal Information: Email address, user ID, display name.
• Room & Collaboration Data: 4‑digit room codes, code content you type, chat messages, participant names and emails, and session timestamps. These are stored temporarily to synchronize the editor and chat across devices.
• Device & Technical Data: IP address, device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: Feature interaction (create/join rooms, send invites), session duration, crash logs, and diagnostic data.

How We Use Information

We use collected data to:

• Provide real‑time code collaboration, chat, and participant management.
• Authenticate users and maintain account security.
• Display active participants and enable the invite/mail system.
• Improve app stability, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
• Monitor and prevent abusive or fraudulent activity.
• Communicate essential service updates.

Firebase & Third‑Party Services

The Application relies on Firebase services (Authentication, Realtime Database, Analytics) provided by Google. These services may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies. All real‑time data (code, chat, participants) is transmitted and stored on Firebase servers.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain collaboration data (code, chat, room info) only as long as a room is active. When you leave a room, your participant entry is removed. Code and chat may persist for other active users, but become inaccessible once all participants leave. You may request manual deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be promptly removed.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this document.

Internet & Device Requirements

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You also agree that any code or messages you share in rooms comply with applicable laws and respect intellectual property.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shashank Verma shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Application.

Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice. Accounts violating these terms may be terminated without warning.
